DCI Clears Young Man Wrongly Linked to Kware Killings

DCI Gives Update on Certificate of Good Conduct Delays

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has exonerated a young graduate who voluntarily surrendered after being erroneously linked to the ongoing investigation into the Kware murders at Mukuru Kwa Njenga.

In a press briefing held on Monday, the DCI shared updates on their efforts, confirming the arrest of the primary suspect, Collins Jumaisi Khalusha.

However, the briefing ignited controversy on social media platform X, with several users casting doubt on the investigation's accuracy and suspect identification.

Prominent among the detractors was a user named Francis Gaitho, who mistakenly asserted that there was no public record of Khalusha.

Gaitho further complicated matters by sharing the name, images, and details of another individual, Jairus Onkundi, who had no involvement in the case.

Reacting to these unfounded accusations, Jairus Onkundi Morwabe, a 24-year-old graduate from Meru University of Science and Technology, took proactive steps to clear his name.

Morwabe, who holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, went to the DCI offices in Parklands, Nairobi, following a wave of concern from family and friends triggered by the false posts.

The DCI quickly verified Morwabe's innocence, affirming that he had no connection to the Kware murders.
