'I Will Return to Evangelism' - President Ruto Announces Plans After Presidency

President William Ruto has revealed his intention to return to his evangelical roots after completing his term in office.

Speaking during a church service in Bungoma County on Sunday, Ruto shared his plan to dedicate his post-presidential life to preaching and teaching the word of God.

He emphasized that his commitment to evangelism will be a central part of his retirement.

Ruto defended his public speaking methods, including addressing crowds from elevated positions such as the roof of his car, as a reflection of his evangelical background.

"When your orientation is an evangelist, you always behave like an evangelist even when you are doing other things," he stated, highlighting how his faith has consistently influenced his approach to leadership.

In addition to discussing his future plans, Ruto urged the clergy to continue praying for Kenya as he works to address the country's economic difficulties and improve governance.

He praised Kenya's progress over the past two years, noting the abundance of food and favorable weather conditions as indicators of the nation's growth.

He also stressed the importance of collective responsibility and integrity in achieving development goals.

Ruto took the opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to national unity, issuing a stern warning against attempts to stir division based on ethnicity or religion.

He highlighted his inclusive approach to governance, citing his decision to include opposition members in his cabinet as evidence of his dedication to fostering a broad-based government.

"Those who want to divide us will fail and will fail miserably," Ruto declared, stressing his resolve to lead Kenya towards unity and continued growth.
