Detectives from Kilimani Police Station in Nairobi have arrested a woman, Consolata Nyangai, notorious for drugging and stealing from revelers across several drinking joints in the city.
Nyangai’s arrest followed a report filed by a Chadian national, who claimed to have been robbed after spending the evening at popular nightclubs Gemini and Quivers.
In a statement on Sunday, November 17, police confirmed that the Chadian national had reported the incident to Kilimani Police Station on November 9.
According to the victim, after a night of drinking, he invited Nyangai back to his residence at Spring Gardens Apartments.
The pair reportedly consumed several drinks together before the victim became incapacitated.
"The victim alleged to have retreated to his residence located at Spring Gardens Apartments in the company of his catch, Consolata, having downed several shots of their choice frothy waters," the police said.
The events that followed left behind a stupefied host, with the suspect stealing USD 4,000, Kshs 10,000, a Samsung S20 and a Corn C105 phone before disappearing.

The detectives launched a forensic investigation, which eventually led them to Nyangai’s hideout in the Hunters area of Kasarani sub-county.
There, they recovered the stolen phones, which were positively identified by the complainant.
Further inspection of Nyangai’s residence uncovered items suspected to be proceeds of crime.
"Notable around Consolata's base was a newly purchased 75" Samsung TV worth Ksh 107,000 as per the receipts, and a Ramtons cooker worth Ksh 55,000," the police added.
According to receipts, both items were bought after the robbery, suggesting they were purchased with stolen funds.
At the same time, the investigation uncovered two national identity cards—one Kenyan and one Ugandan—bearing different names but featuring the same photograph of Nyangai raising questions about her true identity,
